Modern Slavery
Our Commitment
Modern slavery (encompassing servitude, forced labor, and human trafficking) is a serious criminal offense and a grave breach of fundamental human rights. Triops Technologies condemns all such practices without reservation. This statement outlines the concrete steps we take to ensure that neither our own operations nor those of our business partners contribute to modern slavery, in full compliance with applicable French and European Union legislation.
Applicable Legal Framework
Triops Technologies operates under the following French and EU instruments that govern corporate responsibility in relation to forced labor and human trafficking:
- The French Duty of Vigilance Law (Loi n° 2017-399 of 27 March 2017), requiring eligible companies to draw up and execute a vigilance plan addressing human rights risks throughout their value chain, including subsidiaries, subcontractors, and suppliers;
- The EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D, Directive (EU) 2024/1760), imposing obligations on companies to identify, prevent, and remediate adverse human rights and environmental impacts across their operations and business relationships;
- Articles 5 and 6 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, which expressly prohibit slavery, forced labor, and trafficking in human beings;
- The French Labor Code (Code du travail), which establishes criminal penalties for forced labor and labor exploitation;
- The EU Anti-Trafficking Directive (Directive 2011/36/EU), setting minimum standards across Member States for preventing and prosecuting human trafficking and protecting its victims.
About Triops Technologies
Triops Technologies, together with its wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively "Triops"), develops software solutions that help organizations unify their data, streamline decision-making, and coordinate operations at scale. We serve a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, the public sector, manufacturing, and more. In addition, we make our technology available to civil society organizations working to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our Supply Chain
Our procurement activities fall into three broad categories. First, professional services, which cover areas such as specialized consulting, legal advisory, and travel management. Second, facility and office services, including catering, building maintenance, cleaning, and logistics. Third, office goods and equipment, ranging from IT hardware and software to furniture, telecommunications infrastructure, and everyday office supplies.
Policies and Risk Assessment
Triops maintains a set of internal policies designed to prevent slavery and human trafficking from taking root in any part of our organization or value chain. Every employee and contractor is bound by our Code of Conduct, which establishes clear expectations around ethical behavior and legal compliance. Our Human Rights Policy further articulates our responsibility to safeguard fundamental rights, including privacy, civil liberties, and freedom from exploitation, and sets out the due diligence framework we apply to both customers and suppliers.
We assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations as low. Our core activity is advanced software development, a field that does not typically present forced-labor risks. The service providers who support our offices, whether in higher- or lower-skilled roles, operate in direct, day-to-day contact with Triops staff, creating a working environment in which exploitative conditions would be readily apparent. For goods procurement, we prioritize established, reputable vendors and actively avoid sourcing from industries or geographies known for elevated modern slavery risks. We are also working to deepen visibility into the lower tiers of our supply chain to better identify and address any indirect risks.
We regularly review and update our internal policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective at detecting and addressing modern slavery concerns. These reviews encompass accountability measures for any personnel or contractors who fall short of our standards. When an allegation is raised, we conduct a thorough investigation and, where non-compliance is confirmed, issue formal notice requiring corrective action within a defined timeframe. As of the date of this statement, no instances of modern slavery have been identified within Triops or our supply chain. We nonetheless remain alert and continue strengthening our safeguards.
Supplier Due Diligence and Vigilance Plan
Consistent with the requirements of the French Duty of Vigilance Law and the EU CS3D, we have embedded human rights due diligence into our procurement processes. Our vigilance plan includes the following measures:
- Mandatory annual training for all staff on recognizing and reporting modern slavery risks;
- Confidential reporting channels accessible to both employees and external third parties;
- A structured due diligence process applied to new and existing suppliers as part of our broader vigilance plan;
- Contractual clauses requiring suppliers to comply with all applicable French and EU legislation on modern slavery, human trafficking, and human rights due diligence, and to cooperate with any related audits or reporting obligations.
A dedicated compliance team works alongside our procurement and commercial teams to monitor adherence to these requirements on an ongoing basis.
Reporting Mechanisms and Awareness
Every member of our organization can report concerns about potential modern slavery through multiple channels, including direct contact with the compliance team and a secure, anonymous whistleblowing system. Suppliers and other external stakeholders also have access to a dedicated reporting mechanism. Triops strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith or participate in related investigations.
We deliver annual training sessions tailored to employees involved in sales and procurement, equipping them with the knowledge to identify warning signs of forced labor and human trafficking across our business relationships.
